At the heart of this initiative is the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, a premier hotel that stands as one of the few Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) facilities located at a U.S. ski resort. Out of nearly 400 rooms, 100 are designated for military personnel, offering discounted rates based on rank. Additionally, service members staying in these rooms are eligible for discounted Deer Valley ski lift tickets, making it more accessible for them to enjoy the resort's offerings .
MIDA's commitment to serving the military extends beyond accommodations. The agency has added 22 acres of land to its Wasatch County projects, surrounding Deer Valley Resort’s Jordanelle Express gondola, to further enhance the Military Recreation Facility Project Area.
